Hi-ya there friends!! Can you believe it’s Thursday already? This week seems to be moving at lightening speed…well the whole year so far seems to be flying on by, don’t you think?
My friend Kendra over at Joy In Our Home asked me a couple of weeks back if I wanted to join her and a boatload of other bloggers for a fun hop…my answer, “OF COURSE, I would love to.” I’m always up for any chance I get to share my friends with ya’ll and all of their talents. So if you’re here from Grey Birch Designs blog, welcome!!
I am so glad you’re stopping by today and if you have time, scroll on down to the bottom of this post for all the links to all the other bloggers participating!! You’re sure to find some Spring inspiration!
Today I’m sharing my mantle. Did I ever tell you guys that plans were in the works to buy this place before I had ever even seen it? My husband knows the family that lived here before and he assured me that I’d love it. So of course I trusted him….though a part of me was just a bit nervous. Buying a home is scary in and of itself, but not really knowing what the home felt and looked like on the inside was even scarier. Well, I did end up seeing it before papers were signed and the whole buying process got underway, but as soon as I walked through the doors it felt like home. I knew in that moment I didn’t even need to see anything. It was just perfect for our family. The first thing that caught my eye was the fireplace. I love the stone and enjoy adding different touches to it for each new season.
Today I am actually sharing two different ways I’ve decorated our mantle. Both are pretty simple with touches of color which I believe is perfect for Spring!
The boys helped me to pick a nice big branch from out yard. Then we strung colorful wool pom poms on to thread. Then I simply draped the thread over the branches. You’ll see later on down the post how I reused the pom poms to change up the mantle.

Many of you know I can’t leave things alone for long. I like to change little vignettes up fairly often. So it’s no surprise that my springy inspired mantle has already changed.

That branch tree with all those colorful pom poms is so cool. I have a bunch of branches outside, I will have to make one of those. I think I will start working on some Spring display today, this post inspired me to get going on that.
